Hello Online Shark Poker Players,
Please try to find the answer to your problem
below. If you do not or can not find the answer then go
to our “Shark Forum” and search our “Problems”
column. There is a “search” feature at the top
of the page. If you cannot locate help, then post a question
in the “Problems” area. Be specific and one
of our veterans will help you out. Be patient and you will
receive help there.
Q: I can’t enter your site
using my password.
A: Always copy/paste the case sensitive
password we email you after sign up. If you lose it you
can enter email (username) and hit “forgot”
on our home page and we will resend. Also, you can reset
it to something easy after login. Edit Profile (on accounts
page) will let you do this. Many players are entering their
favorite password (not the one I send).
The SharkPokerTour.com
, OnlineShark.com
, and our Forum all use different usernames and
passwords. Please write them down or use this great free
password robot: RoboForm. The free version
allows 10 passwords. Get the paid version for storing unlimited
passwords and auto filling forms. Highly recommended!
Q: The Shark site says the Tourney
starts on 01/01/05 at 9PM EST and the Poker site says start
time is 01/02/05 1:00.
A: Some sites use GMT time. We always use
Eastern Standard Time. So GMT would be the next day in above
example. Sometimes Poker sites use other time zones or have
a daylight savings adjustment to make our events an hour
off. Always check the poker software for “tourney
will start in XX hours XX minutes”. That is always
the correct start time.
Q: I accidentally unregistered
for a Tournament. Can you resend my info?
A: Sorry, no.
Q: Why do I get so many emails
from you and the Poker sites?
A: You will get a ton of emails. This is
one of the drawbacks to playing Freerolls. The sites have
earned the right to email you by letting us play for free
at their sites. I email often to remind players of events
and also to profit so I can add more money to our events
and operate our sites. If you don’t like all these
emails direct them to your “junk” email area
or opt-out at the bottom. All the Shark bulk mails have
opt out areas at the bottom. If you don’t see our
opt-out area turn on “allow html” in your email
system, then opt out. Please do not email us requesting
an opt-out. It’s on our emails for you to do quickly
and easily.
Many players set up a Hotmail or Yahoo
free email account just for poker emails and registrations.
We DO NOT recommend AOL. They delay, block or lose emails
often. In fact, our #1 complaint all time is AOL email holders
getting our tourney reminders late. Keep in mind that your
online bank email (Neteller, Firepay, etc) must match your
poker site registered email to deposit.
We are having a problem with "no shows" at our
tourneys. Many players sign up at every Freeroll then fail
to show. If you enter our Tourneys and something comes up,
please un-register at the site. Players that consistently
no show, have been blocked from future events. Please keep
a calendar and only sign up for events you can make.
Many Poker sites do not have the capability to “kick
out” non sitting players early in the tourney. Please
do not complain or email us about non sitting players ruining
the game. We do the best we can. Steal their blinds and
practice your shorthanded play. It’s a great way to
build a stack early.
All Tourney entries go through our Poker sites, do not email
Shark Poker to enter you manually or request passwords.
We will not hand them out by email or post them in our forum.
You must be a logged in member to retrieve passwords and
play with our team.
